Air iPad 2 will receive enhanced processor A8X? – Computer World (press release)

Some time ago there were rumors that TSMC will begin production of the A8X for iPad Pro with 12.9-inch screen. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s service Apple.club.tw published several photos of Air iPad 2 components, including one motherboard that we see below.

If you look at the picture closely, it can be noted here chip marked A8X

This means that the iPad 2 Air can actually get better processor than the iPhone 6 Apple made already in the past. iPad 3rd and 4th generation processors also got the letter X in the name, which exhibited a more efficient layout. A8X probably also get a more powerful GPU.

The official presentation of the iPad Air 2 expect on the 16th of October. Tablet is to have 2 GB of RAM, the Touch ID, which is confirmed by references in the code of iOS 8.1 and better camera iSight webcam, and probably improved Facetime. It is quite possible that the iPad 2 will get a better Air Retina HD display with higher resolution. Some changes will be the case.
