Office on the iPad was a decision Steve Ballmer – Computer World (press release)

Office on the iPad debuted less than two weeks ago. This was the first meeting with the new CEO of Microsoft, namely Satya Nadella. But what is interesting, the Prime package on the App Store was not his decision, but its predecessor.

The team responsible for the development of the Office’s iPad during the AMA session on Reddit reported that the decision related to the release has been taken yet by the Steve Ballmer. Work on the package for several years, Microsoft finally decided to postpone the launch of Office’s stop for tablets with iOS. Analysts have suggested that the lack of a package on the iPad can generate to Microsoft in the year up to 2.5 billion dollars in losses.

Microsoft udostępnił Office’s iPad on March 28 . Applications of the package soon after began to occupy first place in the App Store charts in almost the entire world and only a week taken them 12 million times!

As a reminder, in the Office’s iPad includes three apps: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Programs are free, but without logging in using Office 365 subscription will be able to only view documents but not edit them. The individual components get married by clicking on the links below.
